Michael Smerconish on Philly.com writes an interesting article about Sarah Palin and the question that ought to be on voters minds. He feels we should be asking "Can she grow into becoming President?" because no one is every really ready on day one.
The interesting answer to this question is Yes, I believe she has all the character traits to be President, a President with more authority and will to rule than George Bush, more willingness to play the "either you're with me or against me, and if you're against me, I'll ruin you" card, which is a hallmark of Mr Bushes political career (ref: the Bush biography). I feel that Sarah Palin will make friends and elevate them to high places and make enemies and relagate them to Siberia (she is, after all, willing to go to war with Russia).
The point I guess I am making with this is not "is Sarah Palin capable of being President", but "is she the kind of President I would want? " Absolutely Not. If there is any reason why I would revoke my American citizenship, President Sarah Palin would top of my list.
The most indept analsyis of Sarah Palin that I have come across. This lady is my worst nightmare. They say McCain is like Bush...the comparison is nothing until you read of Palin's history.
